FIFA 16 Rumors: 18 Leaked Real Madrid Player Ratings
Real Madrid are one of the top teams in both the real and virtual worlds. Cristiano Ronaldo spearheads the current crop filled with immense talents, all ideal to tear teams to shreds of FIFA 16, and after a recent gaming event in Madrid, an alpha version of the game has seen the Real player ratings leaked.
These are the earliest drafts of the ratings, and could be subject to change before the release date, but for now, here’s what you can expect from 18 of your Real Madrid stars, from lowest to highest.
18. Jese – 75
Jese has the unfortunate title of the lowest ranked Real Madrid player, though let’s face it, there’s certainly no shame in that considering the amount of talent in their bulging squad. The 22-year-old has came back from an awful ligament injury and will be hoping to improve this year after working his way into the first team squad.
He may not make a huge impact straight away in your team, but he could develop, and videos recently emerged showing the forward leaving Cristiano Ronaldo in a heap during training after a sparkling piece of skill.
17. Lucas Silva – 75
Lucas Silva has been slapped with the ‘next big thing’ tag after arriving from Cruzeiro in an £11.5 million move in January. Since then, the 22-year-old has failed to make a huge dent on the first team, but his potential is certainly there.
He falls into the Jese category of waiting for injuries before he can make a real mark on the first team, with so many exquisite players making it exceedingly difficult for talent to breakthrough. He’s a long-term player, not an immediate starter.
16. Asier Illarramendi – 78
Asier Illaramendi hasn’t totally secured a starting spot, though the Spaniard has made 59 league appearances for Madrid since his €32.2 million move from Real Sociedad, the highest ever amount paid for a Spanish player by Real Madrid.
However, a player with such talent is looking for a guaranteed starting spot, something that he may not find at the Bernabeu. He has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, a team with a bulging bank balance after Raheem Sterling’s mega-transfer to Manchester City.
15. Keylor Navas – 78
Keylor Navas could be about to seize a massive opportunity with Real Madrid. Legendary stopper Iker Casillas has departed for Porto as his career begins to decline, leaving the door wide open for Navas as things stand.
The 28-year-old Costa Rican impressed during the 2014 World Cup and won himself a move to Spain as a benchwarmer, though Casillas’ departure and Madrid’s frustration in signing David De Gea could mean he is set to be the starting keeper come August. However, Madrid have just picked up Kiko Casilla, meaning Navas has still got a fight on his hands.
14. Fabio Coentrao – 79
Fabio Coentrao is a superb Ultimate Team player, with pace and skill from the left back slot. However, after four years in Madrid, he’s still only made 55 league appearances.
He will be your backup, unless a big bid comes flying in from the Premier League with Manchester United said to be interested in acquiring his services. At 79, he’s still a more than worthy choice for your Madrid squad though.
13. Alvaro Arbeloa – 79
Alvaro Arbeloa is something of a veteran when it comes to Real Madrid, a club notorious for changing its mind in the blink of an eye. It’s been six years since the Spanish full back made the move from Liverpool to his homeland.
Since then he has outlasted countless big name stars and proved himself as reliable cover, making 147 appearances in the white shirt. Underestimate him at your peril.
12. Dani Carvajal – 80
Yet again, Manchester United are interested in a Real Madrid prospect. Dani Carvajal shot to fame in the last few years, making 61 appearances in two seasons since Madrid exercised a buyout clause on the defender.
After coming through the Madrid youth setup, he went on to play for Bayer Leverkusen, though he impressed so much, the €6.5 million clause was activated and he was brought back to Spain where he has proved a success.
11. Raphael Varane – 82
Raphael Varane could well go on to be one of the finest defenders of his generation, and at 82, he should be in consideration for your Madrid team’s starting XI already. At the age of 22, he’s already proven himself at the top level with pace, power, and skill on the ball.
Chelsea are rumoured to be chasing him, but in FIFA 16, hold onto him forever and you’ll save yourself the task of unearthing a world class centre back for the future.
10. Marcelo – 82
Marcelo is arguably the best left back in the world, despite his national team’s disgraceful defending a year ago during their own World Cup tournament.
The 27-year-old has been a mainstay since 2007, with over 230 league appearances under his belt, with 17 goals and several huge honours awarded to him. Keep him, and enjoy not worrying about your full backs. He’s as steady and quick as they come.
9. Pepe – 83
Pepe is the pantomime villain of the Real Madrid setup, always picking up bookings, and always ramping the tension up during El Clasico to tipping point. He’s returning to earth after previously higher ratings but he’s still a valuable asset to the team.
There’s a real choice now though over whether you choose to sacrifice a touch of class, for the pacey Varane. Decide carefully.
8. Isco – 84
Isco is rightfully highly rated. He’s a supremely gifted midfielder who operates without the media spotlight fixated on him like with other Real Madrid superstars around him.
He’s always been a great player to utilise on FIFA too, though he’s usually the first choice, versatile substitute as opposed to a major player in the starting lineup. However, his immense talent has caught the attention of clubs such as Juventus, who may have money to spend if Arturo Vidal joins Bayern Munich.
7. Karim Benzema – 86
Karim Benzema is one of the most deadly strikers on FIFA, and now he’s even better than last year. He’s got pace in abundance, a lethal strike, and enough power to see him charge through opponents’ defences the hard way, rather than always slinking past them with delicate touches.
He’s an essential spearhead for your team, but there’s still even better to come from this squad…
6. James Rodriguez – 87
James Rodriguez is the first of the truly elite players for Real Madrid when it comes to FIFA. An 87 rating always looks mightily impressive, and after growing into his role at Madrid, the fans are seeing why such an enormous amount of money was splashed on the Columbian midfielder.
He’s a truly top class player, and is an outrageous talent to include in your team.
5. Gareth Bale – 87
Gareth Bale hasn’t completely set the world on fire with Real Madrid, and he’s hardly won all of the fans around to his side, but at the same time, his incredible talent should not be overlooked. EA certainly haven’t underestimated his ability.
With electric pace and power, Bale is outstanding at cutting in behind defences, with his Portuguese partner-in-crime dominating from the other side, without the fall-outs.
4. Toni Kroos – 87
Toni Kroos has been one of the most underrated players in the world, but an 87 rating has now been bestowed upon him, and he’s being recognised as the ultimate talent he is. The German midfielder is the natural heir to Bastian Schweinsteiger’s throne in the national side.
Real have a supreme player on their hands, and will be looking to build on a season which saw him enter the FIFA World XI.
3. Sergio Ramos – 87
Will he? Won’t he? Sergio Ramos is the last player on this list with immediate attention from Manchester United, though he now looks set to remain with Los Blancos.
With 314 league appearances and 40 goals to his name from defensive positions, he’s an immense asset, despite some people questioning his actual defensive abilities. He’s won it all with club and country, and will remain a dominant force in your FIFA 16 team.
2. Luka Modric – 88
Luka Modric may be a shock inclusion to this list, being the second highest rated played in the entire squad. New boss Rafa Benitez is already said to be enamoured by his creative midfielder, with Modric being the heartbeat of the team.
He dictates play, controls the tempo, and basically runs the show, even if he doesn’t attract the attention like the obvious main man in Real Madrid colours.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo – 93
Yes, Cristiano looks all set to be a 93-rated superstar on FIFA 16. Forget his dip in form last season, because let’s face it, he was still barbarically good, and is without a doubt one of the best players ever to play the game.
Defences are getting an overhaul this season, but still expect Ronaldo to be a crazy force this season as Real Madrid line up their troops for battle.
